Elena Zhu – 1st Prize with Special Mention, TRADITIONAL MUSIC (Chinese Guzheng)
Elena Zhu is a current high school junior who has been playing the guzheng since she was in second grade. She has earned numerous awards for her musicianship over the years, and gives by to her community through volunteer performances around the Columbus area. Outside of music, she is an avid member of her school’s speech and debate team and a taekwondo instructor.
