ArcoBattuto – ABSOLUTE WINNER, Chamber Music
ArcoBattuto met while participating in the Orchestral Academy of the Czech Philharmonic. Both earned their Master’s degrees in Czechia – Anežka graduated from the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts and Music in Brno, and Alessandro from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. They are experienced soloists, having performed with leading Czech orchestras (AKS – Akademičtí komorní sólisté; Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava; Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic) and giving solo recitals regularly. They are also active as chamber musicians, specializing in contemporary music.
From their very first collaboration, Anežka and Alessandro felt a strong artistic kinship. Their duo explores the unexpected and compelling dialogue between cello and percussion – an unusual pairing that opens new sound worlds and possibilities. With a deep commitment to expanding this repertoire, they not only perform existing works but also commission new compositions that enrich and redefine the voice of their ensemble.
