Ellie Bauwens – 1st Prize with Special Mention, Piano
Ellie Bauwens was born in Basel, Switzerland. She started playing piano at the age of 3 under the guidance of Swiss russian-born pianist and organist Margarita Aeberli.
Ellie participated in her first competition “Val de Travers International Music competition” at the age of 6 and became a laureate. Since then she became a Laureate of 12 International competitions. In December 2023 Ellie won a scholarships with Vovka Ashkenazy and became his pupil since then.
In May 2023 Ellie started learning harpsichord with a Swiss world known harpsichord Vital Frey. She won the Swiss junior competition in the category “Early music” in March 2024, recieving the 1rst Price with mention.
Ellie composes music and performs it during competitions and concerts that she gives regularly.
