Ivan Fedoryshyn – 1st Prize with Special Mention, Guitar


Ivan Fedoryshyn (*1996) is a Ukrainian guitarist. At the age of 11, he began studying classical guitar with Petro Bruhin (a former student of Eliot Fisk and Ricardo Gallén). Starting in 2011, he continued studying guitar with Bruhin at the Stanislaw Liudkevych Music College. At the same time, he also took guitar lessons with the renowned Ukrainian guitarist and scholar Viktoriya Sydorenko.

He began his bachelor’s studies at the Lviv Mykola Lysenko National Music Academy with Yurii Kurach. In 2016, he started studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz under Martin Mysliveček. In 2020, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Graz with Łukasz Kuropaczewski and simultaneously earned a master’s degree in Lviv, Ukraine. In 2025, Ivan completed his master’s degree at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.

Ivan has participated in numerous masterclasses with several prominent guitarists, including: Yurii Fomin, Filipp Willa, Gabriel Bianco, Raphaël Aguirre, András Csáki, Scott Tennant, Rovshan Mamedkuliev, Paolo Pegoraro, Tomasz Zawierucha, Costas Cotsiolis, Adriano del Sal, and Martin Schwarz.

In 2025, he released his debut CD: “Froberger & Bach – Those Who Have Seen Beauty Take Part in Creation.” Ivan plays a guitar made by the German luthier Wolfgang Jellinghaus.

Concerts:
Two solo concerts in his hometown (one of which was dedicated to his parents), and several others in collaboration with colleagues.

Debut as a soloist with the Lviv Music College Orchestra at the Lviv Philharmonic, and with the “Lviv Virtuosos” Orchestra at the Lviv Organ Hall.

Participation as performer and organizer at the All-Ukrainian Guitar Festival “GuitarVik” and at the Graz International Guitar Week.

Performer and teacher at the Guitar International IV (Guitar Days at Zell am See).
