Karolina Tomaszewska – 1st Prize with Special Mention, Guitar
My name is Karolina Tomaszewska. I was born on 10th of February 2009, in Plock, Poland.
I am a student of the second grade from second degree of The First and Second Degree Music School named after Karol Szymanowski in Plock. I am studying in the class of classical guitar under the supervision of my Mr. Dariusz Wiączek. My teacher claims that I am an exemplary and talented student. Playing the guitar is my biggest passion. I love playing in bands as well as individually.
I enjoy both: listening and playing classical as well as contemporary music. My favourite composers are: Matteo Carcassi, Mauro Giuliani, Ferdinando Carulli, Miroslaw Drozdzowski, Tatiana Stachak.
I am the winner of numerous national and international competitions. I am enlisting below some of my most important victories:
1. Grand Prix at The Fourth Festival of Polish Guitar Music „Współczesna Muzyka Gitarowa” in Tczew – 2020 (Poland)
2. Second place at The International Guitar Festival TREMOLO – 2021 (Skopje, North Macedonia)
3. First place at The International Music Festival and Guitar Music Competition in Lubin – 2022 (Poland)
4. Second solo and first in band place at The International Music Competition OPUS –2023 (Poland)
5. First Place at The 8th Edition International Youth Music Competition “Nouvelles Etoiles” 2023 (Paris)
6. First Place at The 4th Swiss International Music Competition 2023 (Lugano, Switzerland)
7. Platinum Prize at World Exceptional Musicians Competition 2024 (United Kingdom)
8. First Place at The Imka Music Competition 2024 (Sarajevo)
Since 2021, I have been yearly awarded with the Mayor of City Plock Prize. The prize is given for artistic achievements in the field of music.
In the future I would like to study at The Music Academy.
