Yuichi Yoshimoto – 1st Prize with Special Mention, Composition
Yuichi Yoshimoto studied piano and composition at Tokyo College of Music and Tokyo Graduate School of Music, and is currently studying in the Master’s Program in Composition at the Iceland Academy of Arts. He won the Grand Prize and the Suginami Ward Mayor’s Award in the Special Division of the 16th West Kanto Piano Audition. He premiered his original work “Shinonome Fanfare” at the 12th Music University Orchestra Festival. He premiered his electroacoustic music at the Intercollege Sonic Arts Festival 2022. He won the Absolute First Prize in the Composition (Chamber Music) category, the Absolute First Prize in the Piano (Sonata) category, and the Poetic Interpretation Special Prize at the UK International Music Competition 2025 Season 1.
