Yumi Camilletti – 1st Prize with Special Mention, Flute

Yumi Camilletti was born in Rome on September 28, 2005. After starting piano studies at a very young age, she switched to the transverse flute in 2015, initially under the guidance of M° Jozefina Negri, and since 2018 with M° Giampio Mastrangelo. She has obtained her Bachelor Diploma in October 2024 with M° Francesco Leonardi at the “Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia” in Rome. She has attended masterclasses and courses held by masters Giampio Mastrangelo, Laura Varga, Paolo Taballione, Jacques Zoon, Sébastian Jacot and János Bálint. She has obtained numerous awards in national and international competitions, including: 1st prize at the 1st National Music Competition “Fiumicino Classica”, 1st prize at the 6th International Competition “Note sul Mare”, 1st absolute prize at the 12th International Music Competition “Città di Tarquinia”, 1st absolute prize at the 6th National Competition “Note nel Borgo dell’Angelo”, and 1st prize at the “Giovani Musici” National Competition 2019 edition, 1st absolute prize at the “Perusia Harmonica” International Music Competition (2022 online edition), 1st absolute prize and special mention at the 13th “San Vigilio in…Canto” Music Competition International Section, 1st absolute prize at the 13th International Music Competition “Città di Tarquinia,” 1st prize at the 4th edition of the Angelo Persichilli Flute Competition, and 1st absolute prize at the VII Edition of the International Music Competition “Ciro Scarponi”.
In 2017/18, she was selected for the JuniOrchestra Kids 2 season of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, where she attended the annual course. She has also won many chamber music competitions, always in duo with her pianist brother Kiro Camilletti. Despite her young age, she has already performed in numerous concerts, both as a soloist and in various chamber ensembles.
