2gether Duo

2GETHER DUO is a chamber duo composed of Alicja Brożek (violin) and Mikołaj Markowski (piano). The duo was established in 2023 and works under the guidance of Grzegorz Skrobiński in Karol Szymanowski Music School in Warsaw. The duo performs pieces from all epochs from the 18th to 21st century, among others of W.A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven, E. Grieg, A. Zarzycki, K. Szymanowski, A. Pärt.
Mikołaj and Alicja are very talented musicians who have been awarded in many Polish and international music competitions.

Alicja Brożek was born in Salzburg on June 23th, 2009. Since 2015, she has been playing violin at Karol Szymanowski Music School in Warsaw. She is a student of Łukasz Błaszczyk and Magdalena Specjał-Barbachowska. She participated in violin curses of, among others, Jan Stanienda, Krzysztof Jakowicz, Sławomir Tomasik, and Magdalena Rezler. Alicja was awarded, among others, 1st prize in the Oscar Rieding violin competition (2021), 1st prize in the Suiss Online Music Competition (2022), and 1st prize in International OPUS online competition (2024). Alicja is interested in both solo and chamber music.

Mikołaj Markowski is a young pianist born on 30.06.2009 in Poland. He has been playing piano since he was 8 years old. He was guided for a year by Anna Wolniewicz and for 4 years by Beata Moryto. Now he learns under supervision of Willia Ochocka-Janusz at K. Szymanowski’s ZPSM nr.4 in Warsaw. He has won about 20 awards on different national, and international prestigious piano competitions, also supported by CEA (Center of Art Education), and Polish Culture Minister (MKiDN). He takes a part in many masterclasses with famous professors, and piano masters such as Wojciech Świtała, Bronisława Kawalla, Tomasz Ritter, Joanna Ławrynowicz-Just, Mariola Cieniawa, Katarzyna Drogosz.
