Timothy Tang – FIRST PRIZE with Special Mention, PIANO
Timothy Tang is a 16-year-old pianist based in Manchester. Born in Hong Kong, he began learning the piano at the age of four with his father. He moved to the UK five years ago to pursue his musical studies and is currently a student at Chetham’s School of Music.
As an outstanding student at Chetham’s, he regularly takes part in masterclasses and works closely with inspiring teachers and peers. These experiences have played an important role in shaping his musical development and approach to performance.
He is keen to continue growing as a musician and to engage audience through thoughtful and expressive performance.
