Yaren Hidayet Gezmiş – ABSOLUTE WINNER, Flute


Yaren Hidayet Gezmiş, born in Istanbul in 2006. She was admitted to the Istanbul University State Conservatory at the age of 10 and, in 2017, began full-time studies in the flute class of Professor Başak Ersöz.

Throughout her education, she worked with internationally renowned musicians such as Hakan Halit Turgay, Saskia Coolen, Andrea Fisher, and Jean Ferrandis.
Between 2022 and 2024, she participated in the summer flute programs led by Hakan Halit Turgay, enriching her musical training through intensive masterclasses and ensemble performances.
In 2023, she received international recognition by winning second prize in Category B at the 11th JSFest International Instrumental Music Competition. In 2024, she took part in the Festival de la Chéronne, working once again with Jean Ferrandis. She has performed with the Doğuş Çocuk Symphony Orchestra, and in 2025, she played Francis Poulenc’s Sonata at the prestigious Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall in Istanbul. That same year, she was awarded first prize in Category H at the American International Music Competition, affirming her status as one of the most promising young flutists of her generation.
In 2024, she co-founded a piano and wind quintet named Estet Quintet with her friends, which received the Special Jury Prize at the Euterpe Awards.

She graduated from Istanbul University State Conservatory in 2025 and is currently continuing her studies in the class of Jean Ferrandis at École Normale de Musique de Paris.
